Short worker benefit retrospectively from March 1, 2020
The new regulations for short -time work will apply retrospectively from March 1, 2020.
Employers should act as soon as possible if short -time work is essential for them. Nothing changes at the expiry of the application. However, there will be considerable relief, especially when it comes to the advertisement and with regard to credibility.
For example, short -time work money should already be paid if less than 33 % of the employees are affected or temporary agency workers lose their orders and do not dismiss the employees, but apply for short -time work in accordance with Section 11a of AÜG.
