
Corona pandemic: further financial aid planned
Short -time work
Companies in Germany can continue to secure jobs in the Corona crisis through relieved short-time work. This is to be expanded from regular 12 to up to 24 months.
The extended duration of reference should apply to companies that have introduced short -time work by December 31, 2020. At the latest, the short -time work allowance should be extended by December 31, 2021.
Social security contributions
The social security contributions are to be fully reimbursed by June 30, 2021.
From July 1, 2021 to a maximum of December 31, 2021, all companies that have introduced short -time work by June 30, 2021 are said to be reimbursed half of the social security contributions.
This half reimbursement can be increased to 100 percent - but only if a qualification is carried out during the short work.
Height of the short -time work allowance
The short -time work allowance continues to be increased to 70 % and 77 % from the 4th month and 80 % or 87 % from the 7th month.
These rules are to be extended for everyone by December 31, 2021, the claim to short -time work money was incurred by March 31, 2021.
Regularly, the short -time work allowance is 60 % of the unusual net wage, 67 % for professionals with children.
Bridging aids
State aid for particularly burdened companies should now run by the end of the year. The program has been limited until the end of August. According to the current status, fixed operating costs of up to 150,000 euros will be reimbursed for the months of June to August.
Insolvency law
Loosening in bankruptcy law should be extended to prevent a bankruptcy wave in the Corona crisis. Accordingly, the regulation on the suspension of the bankruptcy application obligation for the reason for the application for over -indebtedness will continue to be suspended by the end of the year.
The application for bankruptcy was suspended in March to the end of September for cases in which a insolvency or over-indebtedness of companies is based on the consequences of corona pandemic.
Childcare
Legally insured persons are available this year due to the Corona crisis more sick days to look after their children.
For parent couples, child health benefit should be granted for five more days each and for single parents for an additional ten days.
As a rule, parents are entitled to ten free working days a year to maintain a sick child. It is up to 20 days for single parents. This applies to all children under the age of twelve.
Free lunch
Children of poorer parents should continue to be able to get free lunch for school and daycare closures due to corona. The children are to be treated with lunch as part of the educational package by December 31, 2020.
Care
Anyone who has to maintain relatives or reorganize care due to coronation should be able to free up to 20 working days this year. The care support allowance can also be used up to 20 working days.
