
Corona crisis: short-time work money increases up to 87%
Changes to short -time work money
- Employees in corona-related short-time work, whose working hours are reduced by at least 50 percentwill receive more money in the future if the short -time work exceeds a certain duration:
- From the 4th month short -time work allowance (KUG) increases to 70 percent of the lost net fee (77 percent for households with children);
- From the 7th month of the KUG deals, an increase to 80 percent of the lost net fee (87 percent for households with children) follows.
- This regulation applies at the latest until December 31, 2020.
- The government coalition extends the additional earnings for employees in short -time work:
- In the future, short -time workers will be able to earn all professions of all professions up to the full amount of their previous monthly income.
- This regulation applies from May 1st to December 31, 2020.
Changes in unemployment benefit:
- The government coalition also extends the duration of unemployment benefit I (ALG I) by three months for those whose entitlement to ALG I would end between May 1 and December 31, 2020.
