Prof. Dr. Lutz Aderhold

Lutz Aderhold has been providing passionate and professional advice for over 42 years on all matters relating to commercial and corporate law, inheritance law, M&A projects, corporate succession, and foundation issues. Thanks to close interdisciplinary cooperation with auditors/tax advisors and management consultants from the Aderhold Group, issues are addressed not only from a legal perspective, but also holistically, taking into account their business and tax implications. Due to his interdisciplinary consulting services, Lutz Aderhold is a sought-after member of supervisory boards of companies in various industries, especially family businesses. Lutz Aderhold is involved in both demanding litigation and challenging out-of-court conflict resolution. He has participated in numerous complex arbitration proceedings, both as an assessor and, in some cases, as an arbitrator, and has conducted numerous high-profile trials.

Lutz Aderhold studied law at the University of Cologne, where he passed his first state law examination. He then worked as an assistant to Prof. Dr. H.P. Westermann at the University of Bielefeld. There he obtained his doctorate with his published dissertation "Das Schuldmodell der BGB-Gesellschaft" (The Liability Model of the BGB Company) and passed his second state examination in 1980.

In 2000, Lutz Aderhold was one of the founding partners of Aderhold Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH.

In 2009, Lutz Aderhold was appointed honorary professor by the University of Münster in recognition of his teaching activities at the university on the subject of "Contract Drafting and Commercial Law."

In 2021, Lutz Aderhold was honored by friends, colleagues, and companions with the presentation of a commemorative publication entitled "Disputes and Dispute Avoidance in Family Businesses."
