Johannes Altstadt

Johannes Altstadt is a specialist lawyer for labor law. He represents large and medium-sized employers in all matters of individual and collective labor law. In particular, he advises on restructuring, staff reduction measures, transactions, and conducts labor court proceedings. His main areas of expertise are the metal and automotive industries as well as the municipal sector (energy supply, local transport, etc.).

Johannes Altstadt has extensive experience in the area of contract and compensation structuring for employees and board members, as well as in works constitution and collective bargaining issues. He represents his clients nationwide before labor courts and in conciliation proceedings.

Johannes Altstadt was born in Dresden and studied law at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. During his legal clerkship, he worked for a major German law firm and in the legal department of a DAX-listed company, among others. He has been admitted to the bar since 2015 and has worked for a Düsseldorf-based labor law boutique and a major international law firm. He has been a partner at Aderhold Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft since July 2025.
